TO ALL MY ETHICAL PEEPS...
SAWASDEE PHI MAI, KHRAP!
Before anything else, let me wish you and your families A Wonderful Thai New Year and a safe and fun-filled Songkran Break...!
Now...down to business...! I have five SONGKRAN BREAK HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENTS for you to work on given the 11 days you are going to "miss" seeing me and/or “miss” being in my class. Start and finish it immediately so you will have more time to enjoy and relax during your break.
FIRST…please continue reading and finish understanding Chapter 6 of our text, Conscience & Moral Development. Make sure you carefully go page by page and extract the gist of each page like what we did in class yesterday, Monday, 02 April 2012. This way, you will not waste your time and have a better understanding of the chapter once and for all...!
SECOND...you have the entire Songkran Break to begin reading and Chapter 7 of our text, Ethical Egoism, pages 231-263…take notes so that you will not forget and waste your time…do the same as Chapter 6 by going over the chapter page by page...as always, Check-Up Test upon our return from the break…!
THIRD… make sure you understand very well from Chapter 7 the discussions on Ethical Egoism and the Moral Community, Self-Interest and Happiness, and Critique of Ethical Egoism…!
FOURTH…in your notebook, answer the following Exercises on pages 253-254 #1-7…!
LASTLY… on Saturday, 14 April 2012, I am going to post a blog for you to respond to. You will have the whole day of Sunday, 15 April 2012, to post your responses; I will close access to the blog at 11:59PM that same Sunday…!
That’s All Folks! Have a Safe and Wonderful Songkran Break and come back refreshed and ready to Rock-N-Roll for the final stretch of the year. This is it…the end zone…you have to give it all you got since there is no more room for “I’ll do better next quarter.” Be good and get all your homework/assignments out of the way as soon as possible so that you can enjoy your break to the max…CIAO!!!

Good Morning, ETHICAL PEEPS...!
Is Morality Dependent on Culture?! This was the major question we had during our debate that allowed a group to be "exempted" from our Chapter 4 Mastery Test on Cultural Relativism. Question is, who are these people and what is the answer to our question...?! The winner of the debate did not depend on the correct answer to the question but rather, how they defended their side. I wanted to clear this first. After finishing the chapter yesterday, you should already know the answer to this question. If you still do not, then you have a major problem in "pleasing" me with your Chapter 4 Essay on "How Can Cultural Norms Aid In The Formation Of Morality?" So, I suggest that whether you take the MT or not, still make sure you know the answer to our debate topic.
Regarding the due date of our Chapter 4 Essay, I have already given my word and said, 12 March 2012. As you know, I do not go back on my word. This is still the due date for our essay, however, those who will start turning it in starting next week will get extra credit for it. Once the week of 05 March comes...no more extra credit will be given...the extra credit only goes out to essays turned in between 27 February to 02 March 2012.
LASTLY, the moment you've all been waiting for...the group exempted from taking the MT on Chapter 4 is the "NO" Group...! CONGRATULATIONS!!! While the others are taking the test tomorrow, you can either take the test as well to help you with your essay or you can begin reading and taking notes on Chapter 6: Conscience & Moral Development...! CIAO!!!

Here's your simple question to respond to on an A4/F12/DS/TNR in connection with the movie we are currently watching. Answer and explain your points clearly and completely.
"Rupert Anderson and Alan Ward are two individuals with very different points of view regarding the ongoings in Jessup County, Mississippi. How do you think the differences in their opinions and approach towards injustice being done and their investigation relate and affect their relationship with each other and their moral standards as human beings? How does Cultural Relativism fit in the entire idea of the story? "
That's All Folks! I collect this when you enter my class on Thursday morning. CIAO!!!
